I’ve always had a broad ranging falsetto . The instructor from my youth even suggested that with training, I could be a pretty good counter tenor. I’m 46(M) now and a couple years ago, it just disappeared. Is it gone forever or is there something I can do?, But the one who regularly practice will not get it permanently. It comes from over-blowing the cords. Too much air and too much pressure. Different notes are formed at different parts of the cords. The parts that you rely upon for those falsetto notes are most likely swollen. First of all, you need to make sure you don’t do it any more.
